Tasty two sided folding folk art game board. Dovetailed (through the ends) walnut frame. Pine body. Square nails. Brass hinges. The outer surface sports a black and red checker/chess  board on a dark green ground with yellow pin striping. Sweet old dry surface patina with excellent craquelure. The inner surface shows a nicely rendered backgammon board in yellow over a red ground. This is one of my favorite recent finds. Lots of character in this cool country gem.

Date: 1850 – 1870.
