Cool original tin sign made for the “TOM B. CUNY/ FUNERAL HOME/ AMBULANCE/ HEMPSTEAD, TEXAS.”  Hempstead is located about 50 miles west of Houston. Original black painted letters on a white ground. This sign was found with several other identical examples, all with 1929 newspapers stuck to the backs. This was an order of signs that was not used because the business either closed or never got its ambulance due the the start of the Depression.
