Nice original vintage beveled metal sign advertising “M.R. MENAQUALE/ DRESSMAKING.” Created in a typical (for the time period) and expensive way to make signs. The metal was first etched, and then fine tuned with tooling to get a recessed look. The lettering was then over-painted to make it stand out against the bright chromed surface. Over the years the paint deteriorated. Originally you would have seen no chisel marks. Weighs slightly over one pound. A great example.
