Awesome huge figural rolling pin trade sign for a bakery. Solid pine. Mounting holes at ends. This massive advertising piece dates back to a time when literacy was not as widespread as now. Many businesses used figural trade signs to let customers know what they were selling. The pin weighs a whopping 15lbs. A great graphic folk art object.
Date: Mid to late 19th century.
