Unusual carved walnut folk art whimsy cane. Four separate caged sections with free floating movable 12-sided pieces within. Much harder to carve than the more typically found ball in cage design, especially in a hard wood like walnut. The shaft is carved from a single piece of wood. Nicely designed curved pegged handle. Great old surface. Â A wonderful primitive whimsy cane.
Date: Early 1900s.
Size:  33 1/4″ tall. Shaft is 1 1/4″  x  1 1/8″.
