Wonderful and whimsical folk art pipe. Carved from a single piece of pine with some bark left for effect. Detailed chip carved and painted alligator wrapping around the bowl. Nice old surface. This style of gator is more commonly seen on canes. A fun example recently discovered in Kansas.

Condition: Minor wear to snout and an old age split at stem.
