Fun carved figural jester architectural element. Now functional as a hanging sconce. Hand carved of solid oak with great character and depth. Almost gargoyle-like. Nice old dark surface. Heavy piece weighs just under 6 pounds. A good creepy and macabre Victorian example.

Date: Last quarter of the 19th century.

Condition: Original splice to top molding. Stuck screw at top. Old split at top rim.
