Great primitive “Spider” pan. Wrought iron handle and legs with a thin brass body. The spider would have been set within a fireplace, where it was well designed for a quick heating over coals or a low flame. Good old worn surfaces. A nice little example from the 18th century.
Date: 1750 – 1800.
Size: About 11″ long x 6″ wide x 9″ tall.
Condition: Age appropriate wear with expected light denting to pan and rust to iron.
