Awesome curved heavy sheet brass sign from Joplin, Missouri. Engraved, “NATIONAL/ BANK/ CAPITAL – 25000.00.” Dates from a time when $25,000 in cash assets was worth advertising. Designed to fit onto a curved column in front of the bank. Originally clipped in several spots to accommodate other signs. Weighs just under 5lbs. A great survivor, and a wonderful piece of Americana.

Date:  Last quarter of the 19th century

Size:  18 3/4″ wide  x 16 1/2″ tall. 3″ deep curve.

Condition:  Old weathered surface with some rough areas – see photos.
