Rare tiger oil painting on board in painted black wood frame with brass bars. Unsigned. Original label on back for “F. WEBER & CO./ ACADEMY BOARD/ PHILADELPHIA.” Possibly used in a circus tent entrance. Neat folk art type painting. Great expression on this cat.

 

Date: 1890-1900s

Size:   35 1/2″  x  29 1/2″  x  3 1/2″ deep.

Condition:  Scratch on lower right, plus a few other minor flakes. Light wear to frame.
