Great looking pair of cast iron bookends featuring the famed aviator, Charles Lindbergh. Awesome original painted surfaces. Rarely seen in paint. Below the portrait is Lindbergh’s famous airplane, The Spirit of St. Louis. On the other side is an eagle, which represents one of Lindbergh’s nick names, “The Lone Eagle,” which he earned for his historic solo flight across the Atlantic in 1927. These bookends were produced shortly after the famous flight, and are wonderful examples of early pop culture marketing. Cool aviation themed set. Don’t let these fly away without you!
