Fantastic looking deeply embossed copper plated fireplace cover. Historical scene depicting a cavalry soldier on his horse with an Indian chief in the background. The soldier’s canteen is clearly marked “US.” The time period and design appear to be from the “Indian Wars” of the 1860’s and 1870’s. The cover retains it’s original cast iron knobs. Great eye appeal on this unusual early fireplace cover.

Condition: Some roughness at base. Minor split above top knob. Surface wear – see photos.
