Exceptional ornate brass planter. Body is hand hammered, and exhibits dovetailed construction. Three separate repousse floral vignettes adorn the sides. Nice decorative rim edge. The whole is supported by three ornate and heavy cast brass legs, secured with copper rivets.  Piece weighs 4lbs. Just a primo example of this early form.

Date: 1760-1780.
