Primitive Pierced Tin Lantern

Great looking pierced tin lantern with hanging loop. This style of lantern produced limited light, but would shield the flame from the wind. From a safety standpoint, it was a much wiser choice in a hay strewn barn. Awesome old untouched surface. Fantastic piece of early country lighting.
Date: Â 1780 – 1840
Size: Â 15″ tall. Â 5 1/2″ diameter.
Condition: Â Expected wear and aging. Few unimportant dents and light rust.
