Fantastic folk art bedside trivet from Texas. Wrought iron horseshoe form clip designed to fit over a bed rail. Iron trivet with inlaid and pierced Texas brass star. Brass slide bar allows trivet to be pushed away from the rail to avoid spillage. A nicely fashioned brass gallery rail also helps to prevent cups or mugs from sliding off the trivet. Great untouched surfaces and patina on this wonderful primitive country piece from the early days of Texas’ history. Discovered near Austin, Texas.
