Awesome detailed pictorial pewter plate depicting the artist, Albrecht Durer, and the date 1505. Likely made to commemorate the 250th or 300th anniversary of his self-portrait. German. Signed with maker’s touchmark on back. Outstanding old mellow patina. The entire design is hand engraved and stamped. Folded interior rim. Heavy wear indicates years of use. A real looker.
Date: Early to mid-18th century

Condition: Â Slight warp to rim. Expected wear and light scratching. Overall excellent.
