Fun pair of cast iron ship bookends. Marked “ALBANY FDY. Co.” on backs. Original paint and surface. Done in four different shades of green. The one-of-a-kind paint job nearly elevates them to a folk art status. Pair weighs over 3lbs.

The Albany Foundry was in business from 1897 to 1932, and specialized in grey iron castings that the buyer could personally paint and decorate. These are such examples.
