Nice looking Staffordshire silver resist luster jug. Applied handle. Matching circular vignettes on each side and a well painted silver luster compass star beneath the spout. Unmarked. An attractive example of early 19th century transferware pottery.

 

Date: 1810-1820

 

Size:  5″ tall

 

Condition:  In-making glazed over line at handle base. Minor flakes – one each on base and spout. Minor crazing – nothing major for a two century old piece of soft bodied pottery.
