Hand made vintage ROUTE 66 sign.  Painted on some sort of composite board. I know that metal was in short supply during World War Two, and it is likely that the sign was made during this period. Good honest wear to the hanger hole at the top. Not sure who made this sign, or for exactly what purpose. It doesn’t appear to be state made, but who knows. Fantastic untouched surface with a great patina. An amazing survivor recently discovered in North Texas. Don’t let this cool sign pass you by.
