Lovely pair of Grand Tour (Europe) antique miniature paintings on Ivory. The first depicts the flamboyant French King Louis XIV. Hard to make out signature reads it part, “Ried…” Original wood and bone frame with ornate brass liner. The second shows a well dress woman. Excellent engraved original bone on wood frame with ornate brass liner.

Date: 2nd half of the 19th century

Size:  Frames are 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

Condition:  Typical cracking to bone frames. Female portrait frame has some losses around the rim.
